Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

MomMeet ("we", "us", "our") is a parent-networking application operated from Abu Dhabi, UAE. Our contact address is privacy@mommeet.ae.

2. What data we collect

We collect the following categories of personal data when you use MomMeet:

• Account information: email address and password (hashed), used to create and secure your account.
• Profile information: your first name, age, parenting stage, children's age range and gender, nationality, neighbourhood, interests, and a short bio. You choose what to share.
• Location: your Abu Dhabi neighbourhood (not your precise GPS coordinates). Used to show relevant local parents and hangouts.
• Usage data: which profiles you swiped, matches, messages you send, hangouts you join, and posts you create. Used to operate the service.
• Device data: device type and operating system version, for crash reporting and compatibility.

We do not collect or store photos. Profile identity cards use text and emoji only.

3. How we use your data

• To create and manage your account
• To show you compatible parents and calculate match scores
• To deliver messages, hangout notifications, and community posts
• To enforce our community guidelines and respond to reports
• To send transactional emails (e.g. password reset)
• If you opt in: to personalise recommendations based on your activity

We do not use your data for advertising or sell it to third parties.

4. Who we share data with

We share limited data only with the following service providers, strictly to operate the app:

• Supabase Inc. — database, authentication, and file storage (servers in EU/US, SOC 2 certified)
• Apple Inc. — App Store distribution and in-app purchase processing

No other third parties receive your personal data.

5. Data retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your profile, matches, messages, hangouts, and posts are permanently erased within 24 hours. Backups are purged within 30 days.

6. Your rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data (via your profile settings)
• Delete your account and all associated data (Profile → Privacy → Delete account)
• Export your data — email privacy@mommeet.ae
• Opt out of personalisation (Profile → Privacy → Personalisation data)

To exercise any right, or if you have a complaint, email privacy@mommeet.ae. We respond within 5 business days.

7. Children

MomMeet is for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has registered, contact us immediately at support@mommeet.ae and we will remove the account.

8. Security

All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest. Passwords are never stored in plain text. We conduct regular security reviews of our infrastructure.

9. Cookies and tracking

The MomMeet app does not use advertising cookies or cross-site trackers. We use only essential session tokens required for authentication.

10. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we will notify you in-app at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after that date means you accept the updated policy.
